KWESST conducts demonstration of TASCS AWS variant on AeroVironment drones
May 9, 2018
KWESST today announced it has successfully demonstrated the integration of its’ Tactical Awareness and Situational Control System (TASCS) Indirect Fire Module (IFM) with the video feed from an AeroVironment PUMA drone. The combination, known as the Augmented Weapons Sight (AWS), was demonstrated to Engineering and Senior Management staff of AeroVironment at a site in Simi Valley California.
The TASCS IFM AWS allows equipped weapons systems to directly engage in-range targets from the video feed of the PUMA. While demonstrated on the PUMA, any video feed that conforms to the NATO STANAG can be utilized to provide the same capability.
